Description	:	Lucretia F. Lott, daughter of Peter and Jane Ann Van Wormer Flansburg, was born near Clarence, Ia., December 13, 1862. She passed away at the farm home of her son, Albert near Fairmont, Neb., December 23, 1952, at the ripe age of 90 years and 10 days. Lott, daughter of Peter and Jane Ann Van Wormer Flansburg, was born near Clarence, Ia., December 13, 1862. She passed away at the farm home of her son, Albert near Fairmont, Neb., December 23, 1952, at the ripe age of 90 years and 10 days. She had been confined to her room and bed since October 29, 1950, when she sustained a fall. She attended the public schools in Clarence, Ia., obtaining a teacher's certificate. She taught school in both Iowa and Nebraska until 1889. She was united in marriage to Isaac N. Lott, October 9, 1889, at Rising City, Neb. To this union eight children were born, Mrs. Jane Ann Keil of Fairmont, Mrs. Mabel Gertrude Beavins of Lewellen, Neb., Peter M., killed in action in World War I in August, 1918, Bryan F. of York, Albert L. of Fairmont, Charles W. of Atlantic, Ia., Floyd I. of Fairmont and Joseph A. who died in infancy. Her husband preceded her in death on April 14, 1917. The family lived in Butler county until 1894; then moved to Clay county and in 1900 to Fairmont, where they resided until 1917, when they moved to a farm south of Fairmont. Following her husband's death, Mrs. Lott remained on the farm and maintained a home for her children until 1932. She united with the Evangelical church in 1900 and shortly afterward transferred to Grace Methodist church in Fairmont. Through the years she remained ever faithful to her church and her Lord. She was also a member of the West Blue ladies' aid and a long time member of the American Legion Auxiliary. One distinction which she prized most highly was that of being a Gold Star mother. She never regretted making the supreme sacrifice in her country's hour of need. The last twelve years of her life were spent in the home of her son Albert and wife Gertrude, who did everything possible to make her comfortable and happy. Her failing eye-sight was a great trial to her, but throughout her affliction, she remained patient and uncomplaining. Mrs. Lott was a devoted Christian wife and mother; a kind and helpful neighbor and friend. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She leaves to mourn her passing her six children; 18 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; also three step-children, Mrs. Bertha E. Shore of Worthington, Minn., Harvey R. and Mrs. Letha Weir of Parma, Idaho, and many nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock in Grace Methodist church, conducted by Rev. Norman Smitheram, pastor. Three hymns were sung by a mixed quartet consisting of Ruth Hurst, Anna Marie Goodrich, Oliver Moul and W.E. Black. Mrs. A.P. Stewart was organist. The pallbearers were Will Boren, Charles Tous, Claude Lefler, Harry Mills, Willard Goodrich and Ora Robbins. Interment was in the Fairmont cemetery. Relatives from out of town attending the service were Mr. and Mrs. Charles W. Lot of Atlantic, Ia., Mr. and Mrs. Howard Beavins and Fern of Lewellen, Mr. and Mrs. Don Wells of Lewellen, Mr. and Mrs. Archie McClung of Shelby, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Lott of Polk, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Stewart of Shelby, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Hoffman of Rising City, Mr. and Mrs. Ervin Keil and George Keebaugh of Gresham and Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Schultz of Lincoln.
