Description	:	Floyd Isaac Lott was born to Isaac Newton Lott and Lucrecia (Flansburg) Lott on November 16, 1903, at Fairmont and passed away April 9, 1995, at the Fairview Manor in Fairmont, at the age of 91 years, 4 months and 24 days. He was one of eight children in the family. Floyd lived in Fillmore County his entire life. He attended country school northeast of Fairmont and high school at the Fairmont Public School. He was one of eight children in the family. Floyd lived in Fillmore County his entire life. He attended country school northeast of Fairmont and high school at the Fairmont Public School. On Jan. 25, 1932, he was married to Cecelia Fern Miller of North Bend and to this union two children were born. They farmed in the Fairmont area until retirement in 1978, when they moved to town. Floyd and Cecelia were privileged to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary in 1982. Floyd was a 50 year member of the Fairmont Community Church. He served as 4-H leader for many years and was active in his community. Love of the land was a priority throughout his lifetime. He remained interested in the changing seasons and watching the growing crops. He marveled at the changes that took place in agriculture over the years. He especially enjoyed the horses he used in his early years of farming. His hobby was his life's profession. HIs friends knew him as "Hap" or "Happy" with his sense of humor serving him well. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He followed all the families interests and took pride in their achievements. Floyd was preceded in death by his parents, Isaac and Lucretia Lott; his wife, Cecelia; sisters, Mabel Beavins and Jane Keil; brothers Peter Lott, Bryan Lott, Charlie Lott, Albert Lott and Joseph Lott. He is survived by his son, Duane of Fairmont; daughter, Darlene (Richard) Janing of Geneva; grandchildren, Jim and wife Jamie Lott of Ogallala; Linda Lott, Lincoln; Elizabeth(Mark) Nieveen of Adams, Michael Janing and John Janing of Geneva; great-grandchildren, Michael Lott of Ogallala, Matthew and Brian Nieveen of Adams; sister-in-law, Ruth Lott of York; nieces, nephews and a host of friends. Funeral services were conducted from the Fairmont Community Church in Fairmont on Wednesday April 12, with Rev. Tony Woodward officiating. Nancy Jo Galusha accompanied Dick and Lorraine Bauer, who sang "How Great Thou Art" and "In the Garden." Casket bearers were James Lott, Michael Janing, John Janing, Mark Nieveen, Marvin Roper and David Bristol. Interment was in the Fairmont Public Cemetery.
