Description	:	DUDLEY, LUCY—Lucy Beavers Dudley, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. T. E. Beavers was born on May 23, 1890, at Carleton, Neb. She passed away at Fillmore County hospital on November 25, 1981, at the age of 91 years, six months and 2 days. She was one of fifteen children. Preceding her in death were her husband, her parents, and son-in-law, Alvan Heath. She was united in marriage to Dorsey Dudley on November 4, 1908. Beavers was born on May 23, 1890, at Carleton, Neb. She passed away at Fillmore County hospital on November 25, 1981, at the age of 91 years, six months and 2 days. She was one of fifteen children. Preceding her in death were her husband, her parents, and son-in-law, Alvan Heath. She was united in marriage to Dorsey Dudley on November 4, 1908. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 1958. To this union were born a son and a daughter. She was an active member of the First Congregational United Church of Christ. Survivors include her son, Chester and daughter-in-law Gertrude; daughter, Phyllis Heath; four grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren; her sister, Mrs. Roy Moore of Santa Ana, Cal.; and many nieces and nephews. She lived alone until 1979 when due to failing health she made her home at Heritage of Geneva. She was well known for her crocheting, cooking and devotion to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted from the Farmer and Son funeral home in Geneva on Sunday, November 29, 1981, with the Rev. Charles Schepel officiating. Nancy Craddick accompanied Susan Rickert who sang “Blessed Assurance” and Lillian Dudley who sang “The Lord’s Prayer.” Pallbearers were Richard, John, and David Dudley, Henry and Scott Bulin, and Gaylord Craddick.
