She was a member of the War Dads Auxiliary, Council Grove. Her marriage to Vincent Kieffer was in October, 1910, at Council Grove. He died in 1963. A son, Harry Kieffer, also preceded her in death, in 1970. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Emily Pitts, Americus; four sons, Charles V. Kieffer and Elvin E. Kieffer, both of Council Grove, William J. Kieffer, Dodge City, and Edward E. Kieffer, Colorado Springs; four sisters, Mrs. Rose Shellenberger, Bushong, Mrs. Carrie Shirkey, in Louisiana, Mrs. Florence Black, Wellington, and Mrs. Myrtle White, Enid, Okla.; a brother, Lewis Leffler, Americus; 11 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and four great-greatgrandchildren.
