Description	:	Luella Lena Alvina Vorderstrasse Parde, 84, of Beatrice, Nebraska, passed away on Thursday, February 18, 2016, at the Good Samaritan Angels Landing. She was born on October 5, 1931 at rural Fairbury, and was raised on a farm west of Plymouth. Luella was baptized and confirmed at Peace Lutheran Church of rural Plymouth. She attended District 17 and graduated from Plymouth High School in 1949. After graduation, she and several friends moved to Lincoln to begin working. Read More	Luella Lena Alvina Vorderstrasse Parde, 84, of Beatrice, Nebraska, passed away on Thursday, February 18, 2016, at the Good Samaritan Angels Landing. She was born on October 5, 1931 at rural Fairbury, and was raised on a farm west of Plymouth. Luella was baptized and confirmed at Peace Lutheran Church of rural Plymouth. She attended District 17 and graduated from Plymouth High School in 1949. After graduation, she and several friends moved to Lincoln to begin working. Later she moved back to Beatrice and worked as a nurse aide at the Beatrice Lutheran Hospital. In 1967, she started working at the Beatrice Martin Luther Home as a client trainer supervisor and was the receptionist for 36 years. She retired in March 2003. She was a foster grandparent at BSDC. Luella was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church where she taught Sunday School and was a member of WELCA and the Friendship Class. Luella loved dogs. She enjoyed dancing and visiting with friends and family. Survivors include: two sisters, Lydia Stumpenhorst and Selma Krueger; special niece, Gail Jantzen; many other nieces, nephews and close friends. She was preceded in death by: her parents, Wilhelm and Clara Drees Vorderstrasse; brothers, Melvin and Arnold Vordertrasse and wife Lavina; three sisters, Edna Kruger and husband Daniel, Elsie Haecker and husband Alvin and baby sister, Joann; two brothers-in-law, Alvin Krueger and LaVern Stumpenhorst. Memorial services on Tuesday, February 23, 2016, at Fox Funeral Home of Beatrice. Private inurnment of the cremains in the Peace Lutheran Church Cemetery of rural Plymouth, Nebraska.
