Description	:	Luella “Lolly” Marie Hora was born on April 9, 1918, on the family farm near Clutier, the daughter of Elmer and Hilda (Knoop) Hora. She graduated from Clutier High School in 1936. Lolly received her three-month teaching certificate in 1938. She continued going to summer school until she received a Bachelor’s Degree in History from Coe College in 1971. Lolly taught all grades at Oneida 9 Country School for three years and then was a junior high teacher in Clutier until retiring in the early 80s. Lolly then was the librarian for two years. She was... Read More	Luella “Lolly” Marie Hora was born on April 9, 1918, on the family farm near Clutier, the daughter of Elmer and Hilda (Knoop) Hora. She graduated from Clutier High School in 1936. Lolly received her three-month teaching certificate in 1938. She continued going to summer school until she received a Bachelor’s Degree in History from Coe College in 1971. Lolly taught all grades at Oneida 9 Country School for three years and then was a junior high teacher in Clutier until retiring in the early 80s. Lolly then was the librarian for two years. She was a lifelong member of the Clutier Community Church where she played the organ for over 80 years, and was head of the Bible School and Sunday School. Lolly was the Grand Marshall of the Clutier Bicentennial Celebration. She enjoyed nature, painting, arts and crafts, reading, and accompanying on the piano for funerals, choirs, parties, and school contests. The last four years, Lolly has lived at Sunrise Hill Care Center in Traer where she recently celebrated her 100th birthday with family, friends, and Barefoot Becky. Lolly died at the age of 100 on May 16, 2018, at Sunrise Hill Care Center. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Lois Linville. Lolly is survived by two nieces, Susan Schultz of Stillwater, MN and Cynthia Hamann of Owings Mills, MD; a nephew, Tim Hamann of Waterloo; and many other family and friends. The funeral will be on Monday, May 21, 2018, at 10:30 AM at the Clutier Community Church. The visitation will be from 9:00 to 10:30 AM at the church prior to the service.
