BRERETON, 89, Libertyville, died Dec. 25, at 4:15 p.m. at the Sigourney Care Center. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Raymond Funeral Home with the Rev. George Koch officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Sigourney Care Center. Lula M. BRERETON was born March 29, 1895 (sic. 1894), in Jefferson County. She was the daughter of Oscar and Clara TURNHAM BLAKELY (sic. BLAKELEY). She was reared and educated in Jefferson County. She married Samuel R BRERETON Dec. 22, 1911, in Fairfield. He died Nov. 23, 1950. Mrs. BRERETON was a member of the Methodist Church. Survivors included five sons: Clyde and Lloyd, both of Fairfield; William, Libertyville; Paul, Mesa, Ariz.; and Lester, Moline, Ill.; and two daughters, Marjorie RAYMOND, Fairfield; and Mildred McDONAD (sic. McDONALD ??), Marshalltown. Also surviving are 19 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild; and a brother, Carl, Yuma, Ariz. In addition to her husband Mrs. BRERETON was preceded in death by two grandsons and nine brothers.
