Read More	Mrs. Maggie Hall Called to Rest at Age of 97 Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon for one of the older and highly respected citizens of Wayne county, Mrs. Maggie Hall, 97, of Allerton, who passed away Friday at the Wayne County hospital following a period of declining health. Mrs. Hall, widow of the late William Hall, who passed away in 1947, spent most of her life in Wayne County. She and her late husband were married shortly after he came out of the army following service in the Spanish War. They spend all of their married life at Allerton. Mr. Hall was postmaster for many years. Mrs. Hall was loved by her neighbors for her sterling qualities. A member of the Methodist church of Allerton she lived a long and useful life. Services were held Sunday afternoon at the Randolph Funeral Chapel with burial at the Allerton cemetery. Unknown newspaper ****** Times-Republican, October 6, 1966, Corydon, Iowa Obituary Mrs. Maggie Hall Lydia Margaret (Maggie) Knight Hall, daughter of James and Adeline Knight, was born at Coffeyville, Kansas, December 18, 1868, and passed away at the Wayne County Hospital at the age of 97 years, 9 months and 12 days. She was united in marriage to William H. Hall on June 5 of 1900. All of their married lives were spent in and around Allerton. She was preceded in death by her husband who passed away October 19, 1947. She was an active member of the Allerton Methodist church and the W.S.C.S. as long as her health permitted. She is survived by one sister, Mrs. Belle Simons of Lincoln, Nebraska; several nieces and nephews; and a host of friends. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the Randolph Funeral home in Allerton with Rev. Marvin Asfohl, officiating with burial in the Allerton Cemetery. Pallbearers were Bob Beavers, Edward Duden, Argyle Kelley, Bill Davis, Don Duncan and Glen Greenlee.
