Description	:	Lyle Dean Wiens, 80, died Thursday, January 3, 2013 at the Beatrice Good Samaritan Center. He was born April 21, 1932 at Beatrice to John M. and Frieda (Schowalter) Wiens. He went to grade school at Maple Grove rural school and graduated from Holmesville High School in 1948. He was married to Bernice Fisk in April of 1954 and they later divorced. Read More	Lyle Dean Wiens, 80, died Thursday, January 3, 2013 at the Beatrice Good Samaritan Center. He was born April 21, 1932 at Beatrice to John M. and Frieda (Schowalter) Wiens. He went to grade school at Maple Grove rural school and graduated from Holmesville High School in 1948. He was married to Bernice Fisk in April of 1954 and they later divorced. He then married Reba Stanley in January of 1966 and then later divorced. Lyle was in the Navy from June 1952 through May 1956. He was a Radioman in communications. He worked for RCA Service Corporation in California for 11 years. After returning to Beatrice, Lyle worked for Daubendiek's part-time for 2 years, Wheeler Transport for 32 years and then for Spady Runcie for 6 years. He was a member of the Bitting Norman Post #27 of the American Legion, Beatrice, the Blue Valley Antique Machinery Collectors and a past member of the VFW. He enjoyed family, antique tractors, hunting and fishing. He is survived by children, Steven Wiens of South Carolina, Myrna Perry of Derby, KS, Marilyn Elsworth of South Carolina, Marvin Seibert and wife Jana of DeWitt, NE, Mark Seibert of Antioch, CA, Lyle Wiens, Jr. and wife Marla of Pittsburg, CA, Lisa Amaral and husband Nacho of Antioch, CA; sister, Donna Stover and husband Gerald of Beatrice; brother, Robert Wiens and wife Barbara of Spokane, WA; brother-in-law, Harold Brown of Beatrice; numerous grandchildren; great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews and many friends. Lyle was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Sharon Brown. Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at the Beatrice Mennonite Church with Pastor Orlan Koehn, officiating. Burial in the First Mennonite Cemetery with military honors by Bitting Norman Post #27 of the American Legion, Beatrice. Visitation will be held at the Harman-Wright Mortuary 9a.m.-9p.m. Monday and one hour before the services at the church on Tuesday. Memorial established to the Beatrice Dialysis Center.
