Description	:	Lyle Paul, 64, a retired farmer, died Wednesday, October 30 in Storm Lake after suffering a heart attack. Funeral services were held at 10:30 Friday morning, Nov. 1 at the First United Presbyterian Church in Odebolt with the Rev. Joseph Lemen officiating. Mrs. Jack Nuetzmann of Wall Lake was vocalist and Mrs. Jesse Purdy, organist. The flowers were arranged by Mrs. Sidney Carstensen and Mrs. Glenn Mesenbrink. M., held a Masonic service at Farber and Otteman East Chapel in Odebold at 7:30 Thursday night, October 31. Lyle J. Paul, son of Charles A. Paul and his wife Sarah E. Crawford Paul, was born in Sac county, Iowa November 10. 1909. He was married to Gertrude Goreham at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Edson Goreham near Odebolt, November 27, 1930. They had two daughters, Velma and Darlene. He farmed until his retirement in 1973. Mr. Paul was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church of Odebolt. He was an Eider in the church; a past Trustee; and captain of a team of ushers. He was a Past Master of Masonic Lodge 398 A. F. & A.M. of Odebolt; a member of Consistory and Schrine of Sioux City; an officer of Odebolt Chapter of Eastern Star; a member of the Board of Directors of the Sac County Mutual Telephone Company. He was the first Rainbow Dad of the Odebolt Assembly of Rainbow for Girls. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife, Gertrude; two daughters, Velma, Mrs. Richard Watts of Sac City; and Darlene, Mrs. Paul Bengford of Fort Collins. CO; seven grandchildren, Susan, Mrs. Douglas Johnson of Greeley. CO, Kirk, Scott, and Steven Watts, Dustin, Jami and Kristi Bengford; one great granddaughter, Carrie Johnson; two sisters, lola, Mrs. Ralph Wade of Sac City; and Myrtle, Mrs. Alden Fineran of Odebolt; two brothers, his twin brother, Lloyd Paul of Tripp, S.D. and Veryl Paul of Sioux City.
