Cemetery, Miller. Mabel Frances Campbell was born to Orville and Lizzie Campbell in Salem, S.D., on July 24, 1901. She moved to south Hand County with her parents at a young age. She attended school at Campbell School in Hand County. She went to normal school (college) in Madison. She taught school for two years in Hand County. She married Ferrill Parmely April 6, 1921 at the Campbell home and resided in south Hand County until moving to her home in Miller in 1976. She was a resident of Prairie Good Samaritan center at the time of her death. She was a member of the Nazarene Church, Ladies Union Club, Hiland Center Missionary and Rainbow Welcome Club. She is survived by four sons and six daughters, Wayne (Ellen) of Wessington, Viola (Junior) Ford of St. Lawrence, Mildred (Lowell) Engel of Black Hawk, Marles (Roger) Dean of Miller, Clark (Ruby) of Miller, Margaret Starks of Miller, Otis (Betty) of Huron, Jams (Genevieve) of St. Lawrence, Beth (Jack) Engel of rapid city, Lenarda (Gene) Swaney of St. Lawrence; one sister, Gladys Yost,; two sister-in-law, Alice Campbell ad Dorothy Campbell; 42 grandchildren, 84 great-grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ferrill, on January 13, 1970, ten brothers and four sisters, one infant son, one son-in-law (Richard Starks), one daughter-in-law (Natalee) and two infant grandchildren.
