Description	:	Mabel Walker, daughter of William E. And Martha Isabella Spurgeon, was born Nov. 30, 1882 in Davis County, Iowa and after a sudden illness, passed away at St. Joseph hospital in Ottumwa, Iowa, April 18, 1949. Her childhood and most of her life was spent in Davis County, Iowa on the farm. In February, 1903, she was united in marriage to James Thomas Walker and to this union were born ten children; three daughters and seven sons. Mrs. Walker, a fine Christian mother, was a member of the Wesley Methodist Church of Ottumwa, Iowa. She was also a past secretary of the Army... Read More	Mabel Walker, daughter of William E. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, two half sisters, and three sons, Gerald, Clell, and Everett Walker. She is survived by three daughters, Lelia Southern of Moulton, Faye Smith of Ottumwa, Wilda Boggs of Ottumwa, four sons, Ray of Chicago, Illinois, Donald of Ottumwa, DeWitt and Glenn of Peoria, Illinois, five half-brothers, Roy, Herman, and Estus Spurgeon of Ottumwa, Iowa, Lauris Spurgeon of Bloomfield, Iowa, Glen Spurgeon of Centerville, Iowa, and Mrs. Lottie Andrews of Blomfield, Iowa, and eighteen grandchildren and three great grandchildren. It is said that Mrs. Walker loved little children-I dare say there is a place for such in the Kingdom of God. Remember the words of Jesus to consider the little children for of such is the kingdom of heaven. Our grateful appreciation to those who expressed their sympathy and extended their many kindnesses during our recent sorrow. The beautiful floral offerings were especially appreciated. Burial is in the I.O.O. F. cemetery in Bloomfield. The children and grandchildren of Mabel Walker
