Description	:	Mable Esther Kelley, 95, was the eighth child born to Swedish immigrants Melker and Mary Louisa Olander Peterson on Feb. 23, 1911, in the Guss area. She departed from this life on April 1, 2005, at Oakland Manor where she had resided since February. After the death of her father, the family moved to Villisca. Upon graduation in 1930 she worked for Karle's Bakery in Villisca. She was married to Russell Roberts of Villisca. In 1956 they moved to Red Oak. There she worked for Woolsworth Five and Dime. Read More	Mable Esther Kelley, 95, was the eighth child born to Swedish immigrants Melker and Mary Louisa Olander Peterson on Feb. 23, 1911, in the Guss area. She departed from this life on April 1, 2005, at Oakland Manor where she had resided since February. After the death of her father, the family moved to Villisca. Upon graduation in 1930 she worked for Karle's Bakery in Villisca. She was married to Russell Roberts of Villisca. In 1956 they moved to Red Oak. There she worked for Woolsworth Five and Dime. Russell passed away in 1963. On Dec. 22, 1971, she was married to Elbert Kelley at First Methodist Church in Red Oak. They resided on a farm east of McClelland. She enjoyed farm life, especially the large garden they grew. Another love was fishing trips and traveling to California to see her sister and other relatives. Mable was a 56-year member of the Eastern Star, Advisor to Rainbow Girls of Red Oak, and a member of the Business Women's Group in Red Oak. She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Russell; son Elwyn Kelley; brother Delmar, Carl, George, Clarence and Milton; Ruby and Grace. She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Elbert; children Shirley Bishop and husband, Richard, and Leland Kelley and friend Linda; two sisters, Edith Loutzenhiser of Bedford and Peggy Dickenson of Arleta, Calif.; seven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild, along with nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Tuesday from noon until 2 p.m. at First United Methodist Church in Red Oak. A Celebration of Life service will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the church. Burial will follow at Villisca Cemetery. Memorials may be offered to Hospice. Henry-Livingston Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. from http://www.nonpareilonline.com/
