Magdaline (sic) Ilg, Lawrence. ==================== The Superior Express (Superior, NE), Thursday, April 13, 1961; pg. 1 Mrs. Henry Rempe Died This Morning Mrs. Henry Rempe, 69, died this (Thursday) morning, at her home at 250 Park Avenue, Superior. Mrs. Rempe was born in Nuckolls County and lived all her life in the county. The family lived in the Lawrence community before Mr. and Mrs. Rempe came to Superior to retire. Surviving are her husband, six sons and one daughter: Arthur of Lincoln, Mrs. Clem Kimminau 9Berneice) of Lawrence; Leonard, Superior; Alphonse, Bostwick; Raymond, Hebron; Edward, Superior; Elmer, Superior. A son, John, preceded his mother in death. The Rosary will be recited at the Megrue Funeral Home Friday evening at 7:30, and Requiem High Mass will be conducted by Rev. Daniel Kealy at St. Joseph's church (sic) Saturday at 10 a.m. Interment will be in Evergreen cemetery (sic). ====================== The Superior Express (Superior, NE), Thursday, April 20, 1961; pg. 6 Services Saturday For Mrs. Rempe Funeral services were held at the St. Joseph Catholic Church Saturday, April 15, at 10 a.m., for Mrs. Henry Rempe, who died at Brodstone Memorial Hospital in Superior Thursday, April 13, 1961, at the age of 69 years and 7 months. Mrs. Rempe, who before her marriage was Miss Lena Ilg, was born at St. Stephens, Neb., in Nuckolls County. Her parents were Mr. and Mrs. John Ilg. On April 20, 1916 (sic), she was united in marriage to Henry Rempe at Sacred Heart Church in Lawrence. To this union eight children were born, seven sons and one daughter. She was preceded in death by one son, John, who died in the military service during World War II, her parents, a brother and a sister. Surviving are her husband, six sons and one daughter, Arthur of Lincoln, Mrs. Clem Kimminau (Berneice) of Lawrence; Leonard, Superior; Alphonse, Bostwick; Raymond, Hebron; Edward, Superior; Elmer, Superior; a sister, Miss Mary Ilg of Denver, 31 grandchildren and numerous other more distant relatives and a host of friends. She was active in the Altar Society and all church affairs. Rosary was recited at the Megrue Funeral Home in Superior Friday evening at 7:30, and Requiem High Mass was conducted Saturday by Rev. Daniel Kealy. Her six sons acted as pall bearers. Interment was in Evergreen cemetery (sic).
