Description	:	"Malinda Catherine Teasley was born October 10, 1851, near Centerville, Tennessee and departed this life January 20, 1918. In early childhood she moved with her parents to Plummerville, Arkansas, where she grew to womanhood. Her parents died leaving her an orphan at the age of twelve, the oldest of four children, the youngest, a brother, was with her at her death. She united with the Baptist church early in life, transferring her membership to Glasco Christian church in 1885. She was in marriage to Ervin Nathaniel Teasley October 6, 1870. Her parents died leaving her an orphan at the age of twelve, the oldest of four children, the youngest, a brother, was with her at her death. She united with the Baptist church early in life, transferring her membership to Glasco Christian church in 1885. She was in marriage to Ervin Nathaniel Teasley October 6, 1870. On July 29, 1875 they arrived at Glasco, Kansas with the two older children, where they have made their home ever since with the exception of two years in Oklahoma, where her husband died September 10, 1915. To this union were born eight children; six boys and two daughters, A. D. Teasley of Concordia, Joseph F. Teasley of Glasco, Clarissa Lenora Teasley, who died in infancy, Leroy O. Teasley of Delphos, Rene L. Teasley of Homestead, Okla., Mrs. Viola C. Stockton of Custer City, Okla., David A. Teasley of Glasco, George Teasley of Concordia, Kansas all of whom were present except Clarissa, to mourn the loss of their beloved mother. Having moved to Kansas in an early day, she suffered all hardships of the pioneer. She never complained, was always kind and an ideal mother. She was very popular in sickness and nursed many a neighbor and friend in illness. She had always rather to be waiting on one who was ill then be waited on and suffered many ills in silence. Her life was a silent prayer. The funeral service was conducted by Rev. Gilbert Park of Formosa, at the Christian church at Glasco, at 2 o'clock, Tuesday. The burial was made in the Glasco Cemetery."
