Marcella Ludeman was born February 27, 1916, in Spencer, S.D. She was married August 15, 1939, in Mitchell, S.D., to Jim Swoyer. They went to Richland a short time later. Mrs. Swoyer was a member of Wynoka chapter, O.E.S., in Elk Point. She was a member of the Methodist church and had taught school in Richland. Survivors include the widower, three daughters, Jerri, Jill and Jackie, a son, Jimmy, all at home; the father, H.C. Ludeman of Mitchell, S.D., two sisters, Mrs. Ida Ludeman of Mitchell and Mrs. Mildred Stowell of Pittsburgh, Cal., four brothers, LeRoy of Racine, Wis., Walter of Springfield, S.D., Harold of Lead, S.D., and Fred of Joliet, Ill. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon in the Methodist church at Elk Point, Rev. J.W. Loudenslager officiating. Burial was in the Elk Point cemetery.
