Interment was in Larned cemetery. Margaret Ann Athearn was born in Fulton county, Illinois, March 21, 1841, and was aged 71 years, 8 months and 25 days at the time of her death. She was married to William J. Beer on Oct. 4, 1860. To them were born three children, Eva L., William A., and Mrs. J. Wood, all of this county and all being present during her last illness. Mr. and Mrs. Beer had been married over fifty-two years. The deceased united with the American Lutheran church in 1879, in Fulton county, Ill., and brought her letter from the church when she moved to Larned.
