She was a native of Washington County, New York, and resided in this county twenty years, a member of the Christian Church. Rev. Darbyshire had the funeral service. (The following article also appears in the paper) Resolution of Respect At a meeting of the Pleasant Hill Grange, No. 387 held at Pleasant Hill, Washington Co., Iowa, March 26, 1878 the following Preamble and Resolution was adopted: "Whereas, it has pleased the all-wise God, to remove from our midst our worthy Sister, Margaret Ann Kephart, therefore "Resolved, That in the dispensation of the Great Maker of the Universe, we are reminded of the injunction of the Holy Writ "Be ye also ready" "Resolved, That in her death our society has lost one of its best members, and we cherish the memory of her as a good patron of genial companion, and faithful friend, "Resolved That we deeply sympathise with our beloved brother and his family and friends, and that copies of these resolutions be presented to the family of our deceased Sister, placed on the minutes of the Pleasant Hill Grange, and handed to the County papers to be published."
