Description	:	Mrs. Peggy Bertha Hoyt, was born in Mason County, Illinois September 26, 1838. She was married to James W. McCarty February 4, 1858. To this union seven children were born, four girls and three boys of whom survive her. Joe and Ernest McCarty and Mrs. W. A. Simons all of this city. Mrs. McCarty moved to Class County, Iowa in 1870. While there she united with the Christian Church. In 1884 she moved to Villisca where she united with the Advent Christian Church and where she had always lived a faithful and constant Christian life. She was ever ready... Read More	Mrs. Peggy Bertha Hoyt, was born in Mason County, Illinois September 26, 1838. She was married to James W. McCarty February 4, 1858. To this union seven children were born, four girls and three boys of whom survive her. Joe and Ernest McCarty and Mrs. W. A. Simons all of this city. Mrs. McCarty moved to Class County, Iowa in 1870. While there she united with the Christian Church. In 1884 she moved to Villisca where she united with the Advent Christian Church and where she had always lived a faithful and constant Christian life. She was ever ready to speak of the love for her savior and of her hope of the eternal at the resurrection. She was a faithful and worthy member of the Society of Helpers. Working and helping as long as health and strength permitted. Besides her children, she leaves seven grandchildren and a host of friends and relatives. Funeral services were held at the Advent Christian Church conducted by Pastor H. D. Helmer. Burial was in the Villisca Cemetery.
