Margaret Elizabeth Russell was born Dec. 20, 1907 in Garden Grove, the daughter of Roy C. and Mae (sic. a/k/a May) Frances Stickney Hoadley. She was reared and educated in Garden Grove and had graduate nurse training in Chicago. A registered nurse, she had worked in the late Dr. K. G. Cook's office for eight years, was industrial nurse at Dexter Company and an obstetrics and pediatric nurse at Jefferson County Hospital. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and the Altar and Rosary Society. On Oct. 18, 1931 in Chicago, she married Harry B. Russell, who died Aug. 23, 1965. Surviving are a daughter Sharon Little, Waterloo, Iowa; a son Dennis C., Waterloo, Neb.; eight grandchildren; two sisters, Gretchen Hoadley, Fairfield, and Mary Eleanor Hoadley, Silver Springs, Md. Her parents, a sister and a brother preceded her in death.
