She departed this life at the Nicol Home in Glasco on Friday, August 14, 1998 at the age of 83 years. Margaret lived in Oak Hill, Kansas from the age of 9 until 15. She attended Longford High School, and graduated from Simpson High School in the Class of 1932. On November 9, 1934, Margaret was united in marriage to Leland Wilson Davidson. Two children Dana D. and Mara Lea were born to this union. Margaret enjoyed her career of hairdressing and homemaking. She took special pride in caring for the needs and desires of her clients, always wanting them satisfied. Margaret loved cooking, especially angel food cakes and preparing family gatherings. Above all, she was always there for her family and friends. She was a member of the Simpson Community Church and enjoyed the fellowship of her friends at the Simpson and Glasco Senior centers. Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, an infant son, Dana, her daughter Mara Lea, two brothers John and Vincent Jones; one sister Catherine E. Bond; and her husband Leland W. Davidson who died in March of 1986. Survivors are her brother George Jones of Glasco, one sister-in-law, Mary E. Jones of Salina; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. Funeral services were held Tuesday, August 18, 1998 at the Simpson Community Church, Simpson, Kansas with Pastor Ray Gilstrap officiating. Music was by Matt Johnson and Faye Pearson. Casket bearers were Rex Blackwood, Homer Davidson, Matt Johnson, Vernon Hall, Jr.; Bill Davidson, Kelly Ingrassia, Shawn Jones, Jeremy Underwood. Interment was at the Glasco Cemetery, Glasco, Kansas. Services by McDonald-Roberts Funeral Service.
