GIFT was born at Birmingham, Iowa, Feb. 20, 1844, the daughter of JAMES H. and SUSANAH PARKER, pioneer settlers of Iowa. Married CHARLES GIFT Apr. 22, 1869, and he preceded her in death Aug. 30, 1898. He was a Civil War Veteran. For the past 27 years her daughter and husband, MR. and MRS. DELZELL GREEN, have lived with her and tenderly cared for her in her declining years. Besides MRS. GREEN she leaves the following children: MRS. WILLIAM MATHER and MRS. PEARL MCELHANY of California, and WILLIAM PARKER GIFT of Oregon. Methodist church. ------- The daughter "Maud" (a/k/a Maude) mentioned in the obituary for her father had Alice Maude as her given name. She married Delzell Green and they are buried in 2nd.023 of Evergreen Cemetery. ------- Note: The daughter "Vinnie" was the family name for Sarah Lavinnia Gift. She was first married in 1903 to Stoner Brumback, who died in July 1905. She later married William Mather and relocated to the Los Angeles area of California (Inglewood). They are buried at Inglewood Park Cemetery in Inglewood, CA.
