Read More	The following provided by Find A Grave contributor "Cara": The River Press, Fort Benton, Mont., 30 March 1966 Mrs. Coulahan Passes Friday of Last Week Mrs. Margaret Coulahan, a resident of Chouteau county and Fort Benton for the past 54 years, passed away at the state hospital near Butte on last Friday. She had been in her usual health and was stricken with a severe heart attack about noon Friday and passed away about 8 o'clock that evening. She was born Dec. 1, 1886, at Shakopee, Minn., where she spent her early life. She was united in marriage to Jacob Jasper in St. Paul, Minn., in 1904. They came to Montana in 1910 and homesteaded in the Goosebill section and engaged in the sheep and cattle business. They also carried on the cattle and sheep business later on what was known as the Cap Stevens and Lepine ranches, one on the Missouri and the other on the Teton rivers. Mr. Jasper passed away in 1933. In 1934 the ranch holdings were disposed of and she moved to Fort Benton, where she had since resided. She was united in marriage to Pat Coulahan in 1936, who passed away in 1953. Mrs. Coulahan's later years were spent in the operation of a variety store for several years, which she had to dispose of on account of her health. She was well known in this community and made many friends who will be sorry to learn of her passing. She is survived by one son, James Jasper, of this city, a brother, Paul Marten, Crescent City, Calif.; one step-daughter, Mrs. Genevieve Smith, of Teesburg, Fla.; five grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday with Monsignor Regan officiating. Burial was in the family plot in Riverside cemetery.
