Margaret "Toadie" Ruth Patterson Margaret "Toadie" Patterson, 74, of Shelbyville, MO., passed away Saturday, January 24, 1998, at Salt River Nursing Home, Shelbina, Missouri. Funeral services will be 10:30 AM Tuesday, January 27, at Greening-Eagan-Hayes Funeral Home, Shelbyville, with the Rev. Albin Covington officiating, burial in Mt. Olive Cemetery, Kendall, Missouri. Memorials may be made to the cemetery. Mrs. Patterson was born April 9, 1923, The daughter of the late Jesse B. and Lizzie Noel Wood. On April 9, 1941, she was united in marriage to Glenn Patterson in Hunnewell, Missouri; he survives. She is also survived by one son, three grandchildren, one brother, and one sister, two great grandsons, and two great granddaughters. Margaret was preceded in death by one son, Roy Noel, who died in Korea on October 29, 1966, while serving in the U. S. Army; two brothers, Glenn and Noel; and three sisters, Elizabeth McKinely, Pauline King, and Frieda Hopper. Margaret graduated from Shelbina High School in 1941, And was a lifelong resident of Shelby County. She was employed as a secretary for Hardy's Construction Company and the North Missouri Lumber Company until her retirement. She was a member of the Shelbyville Baptist Church and the women of the Moose Chapter 1280, Moberly Missouri. obituary contributed by: Norm Larson
