| Description | : | Daughter of Johann Nikolaus Matzenbacher and Margueretha Elisabetha Rech. Margarethe emigrated to Ontario, Canada in 1846 at the age of 16 with her older sister Catherine. She and George Aebig were married by the Rev F W Bindemann on January 11, 1853 in New Hamburg, Ontario. George died just 9 years later in 1862 at the age of 34 in New Hamburg. In 1880, Margarethe and her sons Jacob and Nicholaus emigrated to Plymouth. Twelve years later, in 1892, her son Charles and his family followed. |
