Description	:	Margie Elaine (Pemberton) Parker was born north of Valentine, NE on June 23, 1923 to Charles & Grace (Parks) Pemberton. She passed away March 8, 2015 at Parkside Manor in Stuart, Nebraska. She attended school around the Valentine area and graduated from Valentine High School in 1941. Read More	Margie Elaine (Pemberton) Parker was born north of Valentine, NE on June 23, 1923 to Charles & Grace (Parks) Pemberton. She passed away March 8, 2015 at Parkside Manor in Stuart, Nebraska. She attended school around the Valentine area and graduated from Valentine High School in 1941. In 1938, she met Clem Parker at Krafka’s barn dance. On February 12, 1942, they were married at Sidney, NE. To this union five children were born: Larry, Connie, Duane, Cheryl and Karen. For several years they ranched, leasing properties in the Johnstown and Valentine area. Later they purchased the Parker home place (north of Littleburg School in SD) in 1952. From there they retired to Valentine in 1977. As a rancher’s wife, she worked very hard raising turkeys and chickens for resale and family consumption. She drove school bus, milked cows, raised a large garden and canned to supply the pantry for the winter months. She always made a meal stretch when Clem would invite unexpected company to join them for a meal. After retiring in 1977, she and Clem made Arizona their winter home for 35 years. While there they traveled the area by motorhome and motorcycle seeing many great places and making lifetime friends. Her favorite things were playing bingo, reading, bowling, shuffleboard, playing cards and being with family and friends. Margie supported and loved her family and always looked forward to seeing the grandchildren. Survivors include daughter, Connie Borszich & husband Tom of Valentine; son Duane & wife Sandy of Mesquite, NV, daughter Cheryl McNeely & husband Mick of Ft. Worth, TX; 7 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Margie was preceded in death by her husband Clem of 68 years, daughter Karen, son Larry, granddaughter Nikki Rae, her parents, brother Darvin Pemberton and sister Doris Smith. Services were held Thursday, March 12, 2015 at the United Methodist Church in Valentine with Pastors Corey Jenkins and Noah Odell officiating. Burial followed at Mount Hope Cemetery, Valentine.
