Description	:	The following provided by Find A Grave contributor "Cara": The River Press, Fort Benton, Mont., 9 Sept 1970 Maria Peres Passes Friday at Hospital Maria Peres, 82, resident of Chouteau county for nearly sixty years, died Friday morning at the St. Clare hospital here. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the Benton Funeral Home with Rev. Don Robinson of the First Christian church officiating. Burial was in Riverside cemetery. Maria Birabent was born July 26, 1888, in Boila, France, and married Theodore Peres there in 1912. Mr. Peres had come to the United States, worked at Sand Coulee for two years and returned to France. Mr. and Mrs. Peres came to the Highwood section in the year of their marriage, 1912, and they lived in this county the rest of their lives. They moved into Fort Benton following World War II, but continued to farm until a very few years ago. Mr. Peres died Dec. 9, 1969. Survivors include a son, Pierre Peres, Fort Benton; a daughter, Mrs. Lucille Renville, Loma, and seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
