Read More	AGED PIONEER IS LAID TO REST Death again has entered another home, claiming an aged pioneer lady, Mrs Hugh Little who for a number of years has made her home with her daughter, Mrs Margaret Day, in north Murray. In the passing of Mrs Little, we lose a dear mother and friend. Due to illness, she has for some time been confined to her home, but has been a patient sufferer through it all, and is now laid to rest. Mrs. Little has been a resident of Iowa & this community for a great number of years & many hearts will be grieved at the loss of a dear friend, but no one could wish that she were again among the living to suffer the trial of time, for she has lived her life, fulfilled her duties and has now claimed her reward. One by one, the early pioneers are being laid to rest under the green sward and may we not forget the sacrifice that they have made that this inheritance may be ours - MARIA STIFFLER, daughter of DAVID & MARTHA SMITH STIFFLER, was born in Ohio, October 28, 1831 and was married to Mr. HUGH LITTLE in Tuscarawas County, Ohio. They moved to Iowa in 1865 and settled in Prairie Grove, Madison County. They later moved to a farm north of Murray, where they resided until about twenty six years ago when they retired from the farm to Murray. She passed away October 18, 1925 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Margaret Day, Murray, Iowa at the age of 93 years, 11 months and 20 days. She was the Mother of nine children, six boys and three girls. Two boys - ALVIN LITTLE of Murray, Iowa and JOHN LITTLE of Nash, Oklahoma and three girls - HESTER AGANS of Hiteman, Iowa , MRS LOU BROWNS and MRS. MARGARET DAY of Murray, Iowa are the surviving children. Besides the immediate family she leaves one sister in New Philadelphia, Ohio. She was a student of the Bible. Funeral services were held at the Methodist Church Tuesday, October 20, at 2 P.M. and the body was laid to rest in the Murray Cemetery. ________________ Those from a distance who attended the funeral were - Mr & Mrs Geo Neal; Mrs Jennie Hoskins, Fairfield, Iowa; Mrs Jennie Isenberger, Des Moines; Mr & Mrs Sands, Afton, Iowa; Mr & Mrs Guy Dudney, Burlington; Mr & Mrs Ed Fazel and daughter Veda, Osceola, Iowa; Mr & Mrs Elmer Rollings, New Virginia; Mr & Mrs Bryan Day and daughter Helen of Lorimor
