August Hofius at Cedar Bluffs, Nebraska. Her mother was Anna Therese (Wunderlich) Hofius. She was confirmed into the Lutheran faith 10 April 1892 at Hooper, Nebraska. She entered holy wedlock with Carl Henry Mosel on 2 November 1904 at Pierce, Nebraska. Two children were born to this union, a daughter, Mrs. Esther Boehmer, and a son, Carl A. August Hofius at Cedar Bluffs, Nebraska. Her mother was Anna Therese (Wunderlich) Hofius. She was confirmed into the Lutheran faith 10 April 1892 at Hooper, Nebraska. She entered holy wedlock with Carl Henry Mosel on 2 November 1904 at Pierce, Nebraska. Two children were born to this union, a daughter, Mrs. Esther Boehmer, and a son, Carl A. Mosel, Jr. There were two sons by adoption, Roland and Edwin. She was preceded in death by Roland on 12 May 1944 and by her husband on 15 July 1948. They lived at Hooper, Nebraska, from 1904 until 1910, at Orchard, Nebraska, from 1910 to 1918, here in Perkins County, Nebraska, from 1918 to 1940. In 1940 they moved to Wood River, Nebraska, where they remained until 1945, when they returned to Perkins County, Nebraska, to make their home. Mrs. Mosel entered the hospital in Grant, Nebraska, on 11 December 1951 for medical care. At noon Saturday 22 December 1951 she was brought home to the C. A. Mosel Home, where she passed away at 12:40 p.m. at the age of 72 years, 10 months and 4 days. She leaves to mourn her passing three children, Mrs. Esther Boehmer, Carl A. Mosel, Jr., and Edwin Mosel, 9 grandchildren, and one great-granddaughter, 2 sisters, Mrs. Martha Thies of Wisner, Nebraska, and Mrs. Johanna Stutheit of Brockten, Iowa, 4 brothers, C. H. Hofius of Wayne, Rev. Emil Hofius of St. Louis, Missouri, Rev. William Hofius of Ft. Wayne, Indiana, and Rev. Walter Hofius of Cabot, Pa.
