Description	:	Marie M. Whitley, 79, of Brewster died Saturday, October 4, 2003 at her home in Brewster. She was born August 24, 1924 the daughter of Earl and Ida (Pierce) Rowles at Sioux City, Iowa. Marie moved with her family to Bridgeport-Brewster area. She married Mack Crabtree and he preceded her in death in 1944. On August 1, 1974 she married Fred "Ernie" Whitley and they made their home in Brewster. She was a member of the Community of Christ Church. Whitley, 79, of Brewster died Saturday, October 4, 2003 at her home in Brewster. She was born August 24, 1924 the daughter of Earl and Ida (Pierce) Rowles at Sioux City, Iowa. Marie moved with her family to Bridgeport-Brewster area. She married Mack Crabtree and he preceded her in death in 1944. On August 1, 1974 she married Fred "Ernie" Whitley and they made their home in Brewster. She was a member of the Community of Christ Church. Marie loved her family and friends, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is survived by her husband, Fred at the home; her two sons, Ron Crabtree of Grants Pass, Oregon and Gary Whitley of Fairfield, CA; her three daughters, Marolyn Barnes of East Wenatchee, July Styles of Wenatchee and Karen Payne of Grand Coulee; sisters, Maxine Butts of Electric City, Barbara Stanley of Pateros, and Mary Lou Lindell of Lake Stevens; 16 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by two sisters. Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, October 9, 2003 at the Bridgeport Cemetery with Ralph Dobson officiating. Visitation Wednesday from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Barnes Chapel, Brewster.
