MARIE FORD DIED IN FLORIDA Death Result Of Heart Attack At Miami Beach Home Sunday FUNERAL SERVICES AT ASBURY CHURCH TODAY Sterling Ford, a former resident of Crisfield who for several years had been making her home at Miami Beach, Fla., died suddenly at her Florida home Sunday night, the 14th. She was born in the Asbury section of this community 53 years ago, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. George F. Sterling, her father having been one of the leading retail food merchants in that section for many years, and both parents were members of Somerset county families whose activities in the civic, church and social life helped greatly to build and improve this part of lower Somerset county. Since she has been making her home in Florida she had visited her old home here on several occasions. As far as can be learned her death was unexpected, as she had been in apparent good health up to the day she died. Mrs. Ford was a woman of fine personality who for many years had taken active part in the social and religious life of the community in which she was born and raised and the many friends she had made were deeply grieved when they learned of her death. Her body was brought to Crisfield yesterday reposed at the home of her brother, former State Bank Commissioner Warren F. Sterling. Today, Friday, it will be carried to Asbury Methodist Church at 12:30 p.m., where it will lie in state until 2:00 p.m., when funeral services will be conducted by the pastor of the church, Rev. J. T. Rowlenson, after which she will be laid to rest in the family plot in Asbury cemetery. Members of the Men's Bible Class of Asbury Church will act as pallbearers. Asbury Church, where the funeral services will be held, is directly across the street from Mrs. Ford's girlhood home, and the cemetery where her body will rest is only a short distance away from it. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Marjorie Lee Brooks, of Miami, Fla., a sister, Mrs. George R. Nelson, of Baltimore, and two brothers, Mr. Warren F. Sterling and Mr. J.
