Description	:	Marilyn Jean Woodruff, 92, of Findlay, Ohio, passed peacefully at Birchaven Village on Saturday, April 30, 2022. She was born in Vanlue, Ohio, on October 23, 1929 to the late Clarence and Mae (Deidrick) Beck. She married Willis M. Woodruff on April 23, 1949 and they enjoyed 61 years together before Willis' passing on November 7, 2010. Marilyn was preceded in death by her son: Keith (Colleen); sisters: Evelyn (Shaffer) and Clarice (Risner); grandson: Ryan. Marilyn was a graduate of Vanlue HS, Class of 1947. Soon after she married Willis they moved to Findlay and resided at 914 Adams St where they raised their family and she lived until 2021. The majority of her time and energy was spent as a loving mother, wife and grandmother. She was active in the Adams school PTA, volunteered at Blanchard Valley Hospital as a greeter for several years and was active in the American Legion's Purple Heart Auxiliary. She was also employed at Fred Elsea Sheet Metal Co. as a secretary and bookkeeper for several years. She was a bowling enthusiast and loved to play golf. Her competitive spirit could spill over in a good game of gin rummy or pinochle with friends and family or when playing Words with Friends on her iPad! She was a great sports fan as well and when any of her three sons were participating one could be sure that she and her husband, Willie, were in the stands to cheer them on. She also enjoyed cheering on the Cleveland Indians. She was a 60 year member of St. Mark's Methodist Church. Her family will miss her dearly but will never forget the lessons of life and love she taught them all. Visitation and service plans are pending and will be posted at a later date.
