Description	:	Margie Fenters Tims , 92, died Sunday, February 22, 2015 at her home in Columbia. Born December 13, 1922, in Hemingway, she was the daughter of the late Davis Tillman and Eva Bennett Fenters. After graduating from Hemingway High School, she attended Columbia College. While in college, she met William Clark Tims , a young man from Tennessee who was stationed at Fort Jackson in Columbia. He became the love of her life. They were married March 28, 1943. Read More	Margie Fenters Tims , 92, died Sunday, February 22, 2015 at her home in Columbia. Born December 13, 1922, in Hemingway, she was the daughter of the late Davis Tillman and Eva Bennett Fenters. After graduating from Hemingway High School, she attended Columbia College. While in college, she met William Clark Tims , a young man from Tennessee who was stationed at Fort Jackson in Columbia. He became the love of her life. They were married March 28, 1943. After World War II, they made their home in Hemingway. He died May 10, 1987. She was a member of the Sunshine Club, Hemingway Garden Club, Eastern Star and the First Baptist Church of Hemingway. Her ancestors were among the founders of the church. She served as a Sunday school teacher, GA leader, Women's Missionary Union director, Missions Actions Circle leader and was a member of the church choir. She helped establish the first nursery at the church and was recognized as its "Senior Citizen of the Year." Her faith was always a central part of her life. She was loved and admired by many. Surviving are her daughter and son of Columbia; 6 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren of Atlanta; 2 brothers of Hemingway; and a sister of Columbia. She was predeceased by three brothers. Funeral Services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday February 26th 2015, at First Baptist Church, 200 E George Street, Hemingway, SC. Visitation will be in the Fellowship Hall at 11:30 a.m. preceding the service. Burial, directed by Morris Funeral Home will follow at the Rose Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.
