PAY RESPECT TO A FINE CITIZEN Marsh Allison Was Nearing 79, Lived 73 Years on the One Farm; Services Yesterday at Pawnee. Thew years took a fine man, long associated with Nemaha county, in the passing at Pawnee hospital Monday of Marsh Allison, upright and respected citizen whose home for 73 years was 10 miles north of Seneca. The Allisons had retired form the farm to Pawnee about five years ago. Marsh Allison was a son of Moses and Emma Burger Allison and was born June 30, 1879, and died March 31, 1958 at the age of 78 years, nine months and one day. He attended Prairie Grove school and was graduated from the Pawnee City academy. On November 28, 1901, he was married to Sara Ann Kramer and this union was blessed with five children. His home and his farm were his pleasures in life. He was a prosperous farmer and a lover of animals, with a special fondness for horses. Mr. and Mrs. Allison celebrated 50 years of happy life together with open house in 1951 at their farm home. Seventy-three years of his life was spent on the Allison farm. In 1953, they moved to Pawnee City, Nebraska. On March 2, he suffered a stroke and failed in health until his death. He is survived by his wife and the following children: Wilmuth, Mrs. Fred Beasley, St. Joseph, Mo.; Melvin, Harry and Lowell of Seneca address; and by 16 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by an aunt, Mrs. Minnie Zimmerman of Seneca and a number of cousins. The services were held Wednesday at the Wherry mortuary in Pawnee City, with burial at Pawnee. The Rev. A. F. Werner, pastor of Friedens church, was in charge of the service. Mrs. Byford Metzger sang "Rock of Ages" and the Lords Prayer. Mrs. Rosa Thieman was accompanist. The pallbearers were grandsons: Charles and Jerry Beasley of St. Joseph, MO; Don Allison Wakefield, Kansas; Thomas Mazur, Lincoln, Nebraska and Jack Allison Fort Madison, Iowa.
