Description	:	Funeral services were held Monday, June 25, for Mrs. Oliver Cassell, who died June 22 at the Nuckolls County Nursing Home in Nelson. The Rev. Mr. Ewel Vaughan officiated at the services, held in the Christian Church in Nelson. Burial was made in the Edgar Cemetery. Martha Anna Rowlison, daughter of James D. and Rhoda Rowlison, was born near Moulton, Ia., Jan. 31, 1877 and departed this life at the Nelson nursing home June 22, 1962 at the age of 85 years, 4 months and 21 days. Martha Anna Rowlison, daughter of James D. and Rhoda Rowlison, was born near Moulton, Ia., Jan. 31, 1877 and departed this life at the Nelson nursing home June 22, 1962 at the age of 85 years, 4 months and 21 days. She moved to Hoxie, Kans., with her parents at the age of nine years. She came to Nebraska as a young woman. She was united in marriage to Oliver Cassell Sept. 21, 1898. To this union were born nine children: Gaylord and Ralph of Denver, Colo., Howard of Granite Falls, Wash., Vernon of Ellensburg, Wash., Cleo Lambert of Lincoln, Merna Buresh of Davenport, Helen Haidsiak and Roy Cassell of Nelson. Mr. Cassell preceded her in death on Sept. 21, 1952 and one son, Marvin, on Febr. 24, 1962, and two sisters and five brothers. She is survived by her eight children; three sisters, Maggie Cassell of Hastings, Ethel Oakley of Clay Center and Amy Long of Twin Falls, Ida.; 15 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. She confessed her faith in Christ and submitted to token baptism May 22, 1962. She was a faithful mother, a neighbor loved by all that knew her, and a grandmother cherished by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The Nelson Gazette, Thursday, June 28, 1962
