Description	:	Martha Anne (Reeves) Plankenhorn, 79, passed away on Friday, November 13, 2015, at her home in Hagerstown, surrounded by the love of her family and friends. Martha was born on October 9, 1936, in Richmond, to William and Sylvia Reeves. She was the second of nine children and was affectionately known to her younger siblings as Nanum. Read More	Martha Anne (Reeves) Plankenhorn, 79, passed away on Friday, November 13, 2015, at her home in Hagerstown, surrounded by the love of her family and friends. Martha was born on October 9, 1936, in Richmond, to William and Sylvia Reeves. She was the second of nine children and was affectionately known to her younger siblings as Nanum. Except for a brief stint in Arizona, her family lived in Richmond for most of her childhood. Martha was an avid reader and frequented Morrison-Reeves Library. In 1951 Martha's family moved to Greens Fork, where she met Clarence Plankenhorn. Martha and Clarence married on December 18, 1955. Together they enjoyed 60 years of marriage and had three children: Jeffrey Earl Plankenhorn (Kathy) of Hagerstown, Jill Anne Banning (Ken) of Economy, and Jayne Lynn Gray (Ricky) of Cambridge City. In addition to her husband and children, Martha leaves behind nine grandchildren: Michelle Plankenhorn, Clay Bavender (Abby), Katie Guntle (Drew), Kaci Plankenhorn, Karli Plankenhorn, Michael Banning, Jennifer Banning, Joshua Hinners, and Jason Gray. Other survivors include five great-grandchildren and three siblings, Mary Miller of Eldorado, OH, Phyllis Johnson of Richmond, and Robert Reeves of Michigan. Martha is preceded in death by her parents and five siblings; William Reeves, Sylvia Elaine Scammahorn, Carol Frankhouse, David Reeves, and Michael Reeves. Martha was a reader, storyteller, artist, and seamstress, as well as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved to sew clothes and toys for her children and grandchildren, paint with watercolors, and tell stories about growing up in a large family. She was a member of Hagerstown First United Methodist Church. Visitation will be 4 to 7 P.M. Monday, November 16, at Culberson Funeral Home, Hagerstown. Services will be at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday at the funeral home. Pastor Rodney Frieden will officiate. Burial will be in Economy Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Henry County Hospice or the library of the donor's choice.
