Description	:	Mrs. Martha Johnson Martha Johnson was born in Clarke county Ind. June 15, 1825, and died at her home near Leslie, Iowa, September 26, 1910, aged 85 years, 3 months and 11 days. She was married to Charles Johnson in 1841. With her husband she moved to Clarke county, Illinois in the spring of '54, then to Clarke county, Iowa, in the fall of the same year settling on a farm near Murray. Read More	Mrs. Martha Johnson Martha Johnson was born in Clarke county Ind. June 15, 1825, and died at her home near Leslie, Iowa, September 26, 1910, aged 85 years, 3 months and 11 days. She was married to Charles Johnson in 1841. With her husband she moved to Clarke county, Illinois in the spring of '54, then to Clarke county, Iowa, in the fall of the same year settling on a farm near Murray. Here she lived until '69 when she moved near Leslie, Iowa, where she died. Four children were born. All are living except Mrs. Laura J. Arnold, who with her husband has preceded her. The living are; Mrs. G.Y. Heaton of Eugene, Oregon; Mrs. J.E. Davis of Murray, Iowa, and W.R. Johnson with whom she made her home. Mrs. Johnson united with the Christian church at New Washington, Ind., in 1850, and was a faithful member at Leslie at the time of her death. "Grandma" as she is better known was a dutiful wife, a loving mother and was held in high esteem by all her acquaintances. She leaves to mourn, two daughters, one son, five grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren and a host of friends. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. G.E. Roberts at Leslie Wednesday, September 28th at 11 a.m. Internment in Green Bay cemetery. OSCEOLA SETNINEL THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 29, 1910
