STICKLER Funeral services for Mrs. Donald Stickler were held Wednesday, July 1, 1964 at 2:00 p.m. from the Wolfe Funeral Home with Dennis Neal offering Words of Comfort. Mrs. Stickler assed away early Sunday morning at her home. While she had been ill in recent years, her condition Saturday was not alarming. She was found by her husband when she failed to awaken. In charge of flowers were Mrs. Collis Moore, Mrs. Ted McCoy, and Mrs. Wayne Spencer. Interment was in Villisca Cemetery. Martha Eleanor Stickler, daughter of Fredrick and Lois Collman Reese, was born in Adams County, Iowa, May 6, 1904 and died at her home in Villisca, Iowa on June 28, 1964. She had been in poor health in recent months. She was married to Donald Henry Stickler on April 5, 1926 in Villisca, Iowa. Martha spent all of her life in Villisca with the exception of two years during World War 2 which were spent in Ohio. She was a devoted mother and worked for a short time at the Villisca Public Library during her High School years. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Villisca, and a member of the Simpson College Chapter of Alpha Chi Omega Sorority. Surviving her are her husband, Donald of Villisca, one son, Fred of Manhattan, Kansas; two grandchildren, Mark and Lisa Stickler of Manhattan, Kansas; four sisters, Miss Dora Reese, Grand Rapids, Michigan, Mrs. Clara Stewart, Corning, Iowa, Mrs. Ray Chadwick, Nevada, Iowa, and Mrs. Elsie Latimer, Los Angles, California; and a brother, Charles A. Reese of Red Oak, Iowa. She also leaves many friends. Preceding her in death were her parents, a brother, Francis Reese of Clarinda, Iowa, and a daughter, Nancy, who died at birth.
