Holt Died This Morning After Lingering Illness. ---Funeral Tomorrow. This morning at 7 o'clock at the family home in Uniontown occurred the death of Mrs. Samuel B. Holt, one of the highly respected residents of this county. She has been ill for several months with bronchial consumption, and her death had been expected for several weeks. Mrs. Holt was born in Arkansas and came to Bourbon county about fifty-five years ago with her father, Rutherford Tennyson. They located near Uniontown and she had lived there and near there ever since. She was a woman much loved for her noble traits of character, her true Christian life and her devotion to her family. She is the mother of seven living children, six sons and one daughter. The daughter, Miss Mamie Holt, lives at home with her parents. Two of the sons, Dennis and Bronson Holt, are located in Wheeler, Texas, where they are in the banking business. Emmett, who was formerly deputy county treasurer, is now cashier in the State Bank at Uniontown. M. E. and Marshall are taking care of the Holt farm. Dick Holt is in business at Bronson. Mr. and Mrs. Holt retired from their farm about three years ago and have since been making their home in town. At the time of her death Mrs. Holt was 62 years, ten months and twenty days old. The funeral services will be held tomorrow at 11 o'clock from the Methodist church at Uniontown and burial will be made in the Uniontown cemetery. The two sons residing in Texas will not be able to be home for the funeral. Mr. Dennis Holt was here only a few weeks ago, but his business called him to his home.
