Description	:	Mrs. Martha Moss died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. J.H. Roberts of Garden Township on Friday morning at 8 o'clock. The deceased had been ill over a year and was 79 years of age at the time of her death. She was born in North Carolina on June 15, 1822. When fifteen years of age her parents removed to Indiana, where she was afterwards married to James E. Moss. In 1842 they removed to Boone county and located on a farm not far from Luther. The husband has been dead about thirty five... Read More	Mrs. Martha Moss died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. J.H. Roberts of Garden Township on Friday morning at 8 o'clock. The deceased had been ill over a year and was 79 years of age at the time of her death. She was born in North Carolina on June 15, 1822. When fifteen years of age her parents removed to Indiana, where she was afterwards married to James E. Moss. In 1842 they removed to Boone county and located on a farm not far from Luther. The husband has been dead about thirty five years. Eight children were born to this union, seven of whom are living five boys and four girls. They are C.L. Moss of Des Moines, C.H. and S.C. of Garden township; Alvin and Edwin of Worth township: Mrs. Clarinda Roberts of Garden and Mrs. Arminda of Colfax township. The funeral was held on Sunday forenoon at 11 o'clock from the M.E. church of Luther, Rev. Stratton officiating, and the remains laid to rest in the cemetery at that place.
