In the original hand written records of George and Minerva McDaniel, it is written that Mary Jane as having the name of Martha Mary Jane McDaniel. She was named Martha, after her grandmother Martha Ann Edwards McDaniel. Linda Christenburg Moody Brown writes in her McDaniel Genealogy book that she has the original hand written copy. They had two children. 1--Gertrude {1909-????] 2--Cora [1912-????] Mary Jane is in an unmarked grave at Locke-McDuffie-McDaniel cemetery. After the death of Mary Jane, Sidney married a lady named Ruth Herring. They had two daughters. The picture of Mary Jane and all her information was provided by Linda Christenburg Moody Brown.
