Read More	Martin Howard Straight, son of Edwin B. and Mattie Brown Straight, was born January 8, 1898 in Page County, Iowa and died December 10, 1979 at the Montgomery County Memorial Hospital in Red Oak, Iowa at the age of 81 years. He was united in marriage to Ruby Lenore Garey February 27, 1918. His wife preceded him in death on July 28, 1971. Martin lived most of his life in this vicinity. For five years he and his wife operated a restaurant in Hastings, Iowa and later one in Nodaway, Iowa. For several years they were distributors of Rawleigh Products. The last few years he made his home in Red Oak at the home of his sister. Martin is survived by two brothers, Boyd of Florence, Colorado, and James of Oakland, Iowa; one sister, Darla Aukland of Red Oak, Iowa; many nieces and nephews. Services were held Friday, December 14, 1979, at the Wolfe Funeral Home with the Rev. Clark Kerns officiating. Music was provided by Martin Hentsch, organist. Music selection was, “The Old Rugged Cross.” Casket bearers were Gerald Houser, Merrit Wortman, Norbert Gray, Gerald Straight, Richard Straight, and Arthur Elkins.
