Description	:	FUNERAL RITES HELD FOR IVAN STRAIGHT Funeral services for Ivan Lee Straight, 72, Emerson, were held Wednesday morning, December 21, at First Baptist Church in Emerson with Rev. J. F. Since officiating. Arrangements were by Nelson Boylan Funeral Chapel. A retired employee of the Glenwood State School, Mr. Straight died December 18, at Vista Gardens Nursing Home, Red Oak, after an extended illness. He lived most of his life in the Emerson and Henderson communities. A retired employee of the Glenwood State School, Mr. Straight died December 18, at Vista Gardens Nursing Home, Red Oak, after an extended illness. He lived most of his life in the Emerson and Henderson communities. Prior to taking the Glenwood State School position, Mr. Straight had been employed for 18 months as a pipe fitter at the Mead, Nebraska Ordinance Plant and then moved to Emerson where he was in the plumbing business for three years and for four years operated a locker plant. The son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Straight, he was born at New Market September 28, 1905, and was married in 1929 to Zelma Sellers, who survives. Also surviving are five sons, Ivan Jr., of Lincoln, Nebraska, Dale of Seattle, Kenneth of Cedar Rock, Colorado, Larry of Emerson, and Philip of Anaheim, California; daughter, Mrs. James Elkins, Anaheim, California; 20 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild; three brothers, James of Oakland, Mark of Red Oak, and Boyd of Florence, Colorado; sister, Mrs. Darla Aukland, Red Oak.
