Blezek, Hayden Jones, and Dr. L. C. Blank. Music was furnished by Mrs. Orrin Carmichael, organist and Frederick Larson, soloist. Mrs. C. A. Fink, Mrs. Conrad Ross, Mrs. Hayden Jones, and Mrs. Stanley Williams were in charge of the flowers. Marvin Stuart Honeyman, elder son of A. Stuart and Allie Shaw Honeyman, was born near Emerson on August 1, 1908. He passed away suddenly in his sleep at 2:10 a.m. September 15th, 1956 at the age of 48 years, one month, and 15 days. At the age of ten he joined the Presbyterian Church in Emerson. He graduated from Emerson high school in May 1924, when only 15. He then assisted his father on the home farm and did various other work near Emerson and Lisbon, North Dakota. He purchased, in 1938, a farm near Wales. Always a lover of the earth, its products, and farm animals, he became also a student of such matters. On October 1, 1934, at the Presbyterian Church in Benson, Nebraska, Marvin and Dorothy Steiner were united in marriage. Their first son, Steiner Stuart was born September 11, 1935. On January 1, 1937 the little family moved to Dorothy’s parental farm south west of Wales. Two other sons, Gary Allen, January 1, 1938 and Dennis Marvin, September 8, 1942 were born to Marvin and Dorothy. Their only grandchild, Dixie Lee, was born August 17, 1956 to Gary and LaDonna Jones Honeyman. Marvin’s father passed away on August 27, 1954. Recently, Marvin has given generously of his time, advice, and energy to help his mother who resides in Red Oak. His sister, Lillian Honeyman Brown teaches in Pocahontas and his brother, Ronald and family live near Dangerfield, Texas. He leaves to us who love him, a standard of intellectual, curiosity, generosity toward one’s fellow man, and a self sacrificing love for family seldom equaled. The belief he held in the fundamental goodness of people will strengthen us all as we try to follow in the path he pointed out to us. Among others who will remember him with great affection are his numerous relatives who have known him since boyhood. The many neighbors and friends he made will perhaps agree with the older friend who said, “I’ll miss visiting with him.
