Description	:	On 8-Oct-1874, near Centerville (25 miles west of the Dakota Territories' southern border with Iowa),"Justice of the Peace" Andrew Baker officiated the marriage of Lovel Lloyd Fish to his daughter, Mary Ann Baker (it was a week before her 14th birthday). On 4-Sep-1873, Lovel had homesteaded near the Baker's farm. Mary Ann's first child, Annie, died at birth in 1876. In 1877 she gave birth to ROSA Evalina (Gilchrist) - LILLIE Jane (Maggrett) was born in 1880. In 1882, Mary Ann gave birth to WALLACE William, and that same year she and Lovel filed a claim on land in Charles Mix County, where nine more children were born: ETHEL Lenora (Riffle), ALBERT Levi, MYRTLE Minnie (Hitzing), NELLIE Thankful (McRae), JAMES Lovel, OLIVE Mary (Johnson), GEORGE Washington (Sr.), CHARLES Carmi, and SAMUEL Leeper. In the 1899 family photo on the right, Mary Ann is holding infant George. Charles and Samuel were born after this photo was taken. Lovel died four years after Samuel's birth. Myrtle, their 7th child, married Charly Hitzing on 10-Sep-1910. Myrtle's mother Mary Ann rode with them down to Rising City, Nebraska (80 miles west of Omaha). From there, she visited family (possibly her half brother, Dr. George Ingledue, Jr., and her mother Martha Jane, who Mary Ann is with in photo to your right). Charly and Myrtle went back to his ranch in Pueblo County, CO. On 18-Oct-1925, Charlie and Myrtle again visited Mary Ann (see news article), this time on their way with nine children from Carter County, Montana to Baker County, Florida, where their tenth child, Michel, was born. About October 1934, Myrtle took Lovel (her 11th child), and Mary Ann (her 12th) by Greyhound Bus from Jacksonville to Virginia to see her eldest daughter, Thelma. From there, they went on to see Mary Ann in Platte, SD, where they stayed until May 1935 (noted in George Fish, Sr. bible).
