FRED MANN DIED LAST SUNDAY Burial Services Were Held Tuesday At Prairie Hill Cemetery In Castle Grove Twp. Mrs. Fred Mann, 74, died Sunday night at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Paul Pillard, near Coggon. She had been in failing health for two mouths. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 1 o'clock at the Coggon Presbyterian church of which she was a member. Burial was made at the Prairie Hill cemetery in Castle Grove Township. Mrs. Mann was Mary Ann Brown before her marriage. She was a daughter of Michael and Mary Brown and was born April 12, 1865 in Castle Grove Township. She was married April 12, 1897 to Frederick Mann. They lived on a farm near Central City for a time and later moved to Nebraska. They returned to Iowa in 1912 and resided near Prairieburg until 1924 when Mr. Mann died. Since that time Mrs. Mann had made her home with her daughter, Mrs. Pillard. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Paul Pillard of Coggon, two sons, Marion Mann of Ryan and Wilbur Mann of Central City. A son, Harold and a daughter, Elizabeth, preceded her in death. She is also survived by a sister, Mrs. Margaret Bickerstaff of Chicago and a brother, Philip Brown, of Marion, and by nine grandchildren.
