Description	:	Mary Anne Laferriere, 89, of Elk Point, S.D., died Sunday (May 6, 1900) in the Akron City Convalescent Care Center. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday in St. Joseph Catholic church in Elk Point with the Rev. Anthony P. Opem officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph cemetery. Visitation began Tuesday at Anderson funeral home in Elk Point. She graduated from Jefferson high school. She married Leo Laferriere Oct. 6, 1920, at Jefferson. The couple farmed north of Elk Point until 1967 when they retired and moved into Elk Point. He died Jan. 12, 1986, in Elk Point. Mrs. Laferriere was a member of St. Joseph Catholic church and Altar Society, Catholic Daughters of America, and St. Theresa's club. She was a former member of the County Extension club as a forester. Survivors include two sons, Norbert of Nice, Calif., and Cletus of Elk Point; a sister, Leone Morriston of Mandan, N.D.; 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
