McChesney, in this village at 11:30 o'clock p.m. Sunday, April 29. Mother Turner has been an invalid for about 14 years, and has been patiently waiting till the summons should come that should say to her, "Come up higher." Her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Will Dean, came to spend the night watching. She sat up most of the day, Sunday. Her mind had not been clear for several days, but she knew all who came to see her. Mr. McChesney went to the bed about 11 o'clock. She told him to go to bed as she was feeling better and would sleep Mrs. Dean was sitting near the bed and when a few minutes later she went to look at her, life was gone and she was asleep to wake no more in this life. It has never been ours to see and know anyone who through all suffering and sorrow was so sweet, so loving, so patient, waiting without a shadow of doubt for the time when she should go to meet loved ones gone before and wait for loved ones to come. The following is a short biographical sketch of Mrs. Turner: Mary Bardsley was born in Hurst, Lancastershire, England, December 16, 1832. Was confirmed in the Episcopal church of her native town where she grew into womanhood. On her 23rd birthday was married to Robert Turner. One daughter, Mrs. J. E. Cooley, was born to them in England. In April 1857 they came to the United States and settled in Columbiana county, Ohio, near the town of Salem, where they lived nearly 30 years, and where their children, five in number, except Mrs. Cooley, were born and raised. All except John, the second child who died in youth, are living in Nance county and mourn the loss of mother. They are: Jennie Cooley, S. B. Turner, Lizzie Dean, Sadie McChesney. In November 1890, they moved to Fullerton, where in April 1891, Mr. Turner died. For the past six years Mrs. Turner has made her home with Mrs. G. S. McChesney. The funeral services were held at the M. E. church of this place. The body was laid away in the Fullerton cemetery. Rev. L. R. DeWolf conducted services at the church and Rev. Ray at the grave.
