Description	:	Mary Blake Perkins, daughter of James and Jane Blake was born at Rebeckah Furnas, Huntington county, Pennsylvania, October 16, 1836. She was married to J.M. Perkins, December 26, 1852. Elven children were born to this union, seven sons and four daughters. The four daughters and one son preceded her to the Heavenly country. Death came to her after months of intense suffering, patiently borne. It found her ready. Read More	Mary Blake Perkins, daughter of James and Jane Blake was born at Rebeckah Furnas, Huntington county, Pennsylvania, October 16, 1836. She was married to J.M. Perkins, December 26, 1852. Elven children were born to this union, seven sons and four daughters. The four daughters and one son preceded her to the Heavenly country. Death came to her after months of intense suffering, patiently borne. It found her ready. November 17, 1903, when a little past the 67th mile stone, she entered into that rest which remaineth for the people of God. In 1853 she was converted and joined the Methodist Episcopal church, and she kept the faith until the end. While her life was one of untiring service for the Master in the church of her choice, yet it was in her home that she exemplified the rarest virtues of life. Her devotion to her duty, her modest purity, her true womanliness ever marked her as one of the royal order of saintly womanhood which safeguards the most sacred and best in life. Her life was ever that of a true follower of Christ, neighborly, womanly, motherly, full of service to the golden brim. Her homegoing was that of a Christian, peaceful, joyous, triumphant. The funeral occurred Thursday, November 19, at 11 o'clock a.m., from the Fairmont M.E. church, Rev. M.C. Brooks in charge, assisted by Revs. Beaver and McConaughy. The attendance was large and sympathy for the sorrowing husband and children was general and profound.
