Father Berthold will have charge of the services. The interment will be made in the Sacred Heart Cemetery, besides the bodies of her husband and daughters. Mrs. Martin Kelly's maiden name was Mary Carney. She was born in the County Mayo, Ireland, February 2, 1847. She came to America when a child and lived with an aunt in Cleveland, Ohio, where she was married to the late Martin Kelly. In the late '70's they moved to Kansas, and located in Strong City, where they lived for ten years, when they moved to Emporia which since has been her home. Mrs. Kelly has been a devout member of the Catholic Church all her life. She was a devoted wife and mother, and a good neighbor. Her life has been a busy, happy, useful one. She was also a member of the Knights and Ladies of Security. She is survived by two sons and three daughters, James and Thomas Kelly, Misses Anna and Nora Kelly and Mrs. Pete Newton, all of Emporia. Mr. Kelly died two months ago, and two daughters died in the past four years. *************************************** Emporia Gazette, Monday, March 1, 1915; p.2, c.5 The funeral of Mrs. Martin Kelly was held at 9 o'clock this morning in the Church of the Sacred Heart. The Rev. Father Berthold conducted the services and interment was made in the Catholic Cemetery. The pall-bearers were Daniel Burke, W.A. Lawler, Dennis O'Connor, Andy Hines John Morgan ad C. McCarthy.
